Lower Bathroom Renovation | Progress

Today, I’m sharing a few additional details about our lower bathroom! We started the vanity portion about a year ago (see post here) and we are finally getting around to the other half!

We’ll be using Delta Faucet’s Vero collection in Stainless Steel – love the modern lines! Towels will either be hung by individual hooks, or a DIY rack (similar to image above) We’ll be carrying the wall to wall and floor to ceiling subway tile from the vanity area. DIYing a ceiling mounted shower curtain rod. And we decided to keep the original cast iron green tub (thanks for voting on Instagram!) I figured if I ever want to refinish it later, I can, but I can’t go back!

I love how it is turning out! The floor to ceiling – wall to wall subway tile is time consuming, but so so worth it! The floor is probably my favorite part!

We are still deciding on the plumbing layout for the bathroom upstairs, so we haven’t finished the ceiling (and what touches the ceiling) since we’ll need access to the ceiling to move the plumbing around.

Here’s what we have left to do:

– finish all tile work
– repair ceiling (after all plumbing complete)
– towel hooks, toilet paper holder, hand towel bar, etc.
– shower curtain rod
– roman shade
– caulk / seal grout
– (Window has been painted since this photo!)

We’ve been doing this in conjunction with the kitchen, so the process has been a little slow, but we are getting so close! I can’t wait to see this space complete!

Thanks to Delta for providing the plumbing fixtures, as always, I only share products and companies that I love and have had a good experience with!

Looks so good and I'm so happy you are keeping the green tub.
