One Room Challenge Spring 2020 | Week 3

It’s week 3 of the One Room Challenge! Progress from the week includes finishing the loft ladder  and our skylights were installed!

Let’s get into it!

Last week I shared progress photos of the custom ladder – here it is installed. David welded the ladder rungs and sides together and added oak sides for aesthetics and to make it easier to grab. LOVE how it turned out!

It’s hard to share the size of the new skylight, but it’s massive! We went with 4’x4′ from VELUX and it completely transforms the space and surrounding spaces. SO in love with it! I’ll be sharing a lot more detail later, but it’s solar powered, automatically closes when it senses rain and has lots of other great features.

The skylight above the loft was added and the existing skylight in the lower loft was replaced.

So excited to be moving forward! The skylights were definitely game changers for this space. Stop back next week for more updates!

Check out everyone’s week 3 updates HERE!

looks great and love skylights in tight spaces. It totally just opens up the space and lets in so much light!

What a cool space! I love the shelves built into the sloped ceiling and that skylight is going to be an amazing addition
