This past weekend was pretty busy, so I didn’t get to finish the headboard, but I am almost done! One of four nail head rows has been applied, only three more to go!

Have been going through Pinterest to find a DIY project to make a headboard for my Kind size bed and found your idea. Exactly what I was looking for except I’m not so sure about how to add the “wing” and wrapping it… and the dimensions would be different for a king size…
