Sarah Cooks! | Blue Apron

This post is sponsored by Blue Apron.

Today, I’m sharing one of my other favorite passions – cooking! I typically just stick to DIY and home decor here, but when Blue Apron approached me, I had to say yes! I was introduced to Blue Apron about a year ago – by David’s brother and wife – they live and San Francisco – have busy schedules and no car. They love Blue Apron because they can have quality, unique fresh ingredients, without the having to think about meal planning and dragging groceries (uphill) home from the store. David’s parents also love Blue Apron and David and I get Blue Apron every once and while (you can skip week’s whenever you want) when we want something special and different!

Here’s how it works. Once a week, Blue Apron sends you fresh ingredients to make three meals for two or the family plan for four (We find that the portions are SUPER generous!) The ingredients arrive at your door in a refrigerated box, so it will stay cold even if you’re not home to bring it inside right away.

Recipes cards are included,

with detailed instructions that are super easy to follow!

You prep the ingredients. I like to keep them all on a large cutting board to cut down on dishes.

and cook! (Our kitchen is in desperate need of a makeover, stay tuned!!)

In my experience, each meal takes about 30-50 minutes to prepare – depending on the steps involved.  It’s SO much nicer and healthier than frozen meals or take out, without the hassle of meal planning (which I never seem too do ..)

Here’s why I love Blue Apron – 1. flavor profiles are different and unique 2. we’ve loved every meal that we’ve tried! 3. it’s easy to customize your meal preferences and skip weeks

I don’t eat beef and pork, so we set our meal preferences and received Cod & Miso Soba Noodles (SO SO good, I normally don’t like eggplant, but it was good here!), Chicken Milanese, and Summer Bean & Mushroom Pasta.

The Smoky Shrimp & Cheddar Grits, Spicy Thai Chicken Noodle Soup, and Chicken & Drop Biscuit Casserole all sound amazing!!

We’ve been using Blue Apron (unsponsored) every once and a while for about a year when we want something special – the quality of of recipes and ingredients has been consistently high and taste amazing!

Getting it every few weeks works perfectly with our lifestyle – the best part is you can get it every week or skip whenever you want. No commitment and you can cancel anytime.

If you’d like to try Blue Apron, the first 25 readers will get two meals for free – click this link!

Thanks so much to Blue Apron for sponsoring this post, as always, I only share products and companies that I love and have had a great experience with!

Looks delicious! I've never tried anything like this but what a great idea. I have a total love/hate relationship with meal planning every week!
