Schlage in My Home | $500 Giveaway

One of the first things that we did when we moved into our house was change the exterior locks. We were given about 50 keys at closing – we couldn’t figure out what went to what and and the locks were in such bad condition – we could barely open door. So, we replaced them, but the finish on the strike plate on the exterior doors has started to flake off.

When Schlage approached me – I was thrilled to participate! Plus, I definitely wanted to replace our interior knobs as well so they would match the new exterior handles. (Just a note, our original knobs were a different company)

Deciding between Schalge’s two new finishes Satin Brass and Polished Nickel was tricky. I’ve been loving brass, but the Polished Nickel looked so clean and classic – I just love it with a white door.

We liked levers verse knobs in our CA rental, so we selected that for both the interior and exterior handles.

We eventually want to replace our exterior front door with something more modern, but the the lever gave it an instant update.

The levers are heavy and the finish seems very durable – they are solid and not painted, so I see them looking exactly the same years down the road.

I just moved our leather stools in here – they fit perfectly in that nook. p.s. I sat on them this week while working at night and love them – comfy (considering they don’t have a back) and super sturdy.

Our interior knobs were the classic 80s lacquered brass – SO different from the natural brass that’s so so pretty. Even though I love un lacquered brass, I love the subtle sophistication of the Polished Nickel.

BEFORE:

We went with the Latitude Lever – I love the clean, timeless look!

Now, it’s time for you to get involved! Schlage is giving away a $500 credit to purchase hardware for your home!! Enter on the widget below – giveaway is open for 1 week!

Here are the details – the prize will be: the opportunity for one (1) winner to outfit one floor of their home with door hardware in the new Schlage finishes (Satin Brass or Polished Nickel) in the style of their choice, up to a $500 value. U.S. only, please. Please see terms and conditions on the widget for more details.

Good luck! Winner will be announced next week!

We purchased our home a little over a year ago and it came with those lovely 80s brass knobs as well. Awful! But with so many of them, it seemed overwhelming to have to replace them all. I would love to add the Camelot knob in satin nickel, that would be lovely!

We just moved into our new home in MD. I think there must be at last 5 different door knob styles throughout the house and it's already driving me crazy. We love the lever style from living in Europe.

I love all the straight lines of the latitude knobs in polished nickel. We moved into our home last year and have been wanting to change all of the knobs because at some point an owner installed knobs that are gold on one side of the door and silver on the other side of the door! This would be a wonderful way to start to fix that terrible design choice :).

We have mushroom door knobs now and are so happy with them, although I'd like a nicer knob. I love the look of the lever. But, my poodle uses his paws to try to open doors, he'd get in and out freely with levers.

We moved into our home last year and we still haven't replaced the knobs. Right now we have the fake gold in three different styles in a cheap brand. In our last house we replaced all of our knobs with Schlage satin nickel levers. I am pretty boring but I love the standard accent lever in polished nickel. I would love to win, it would help kick start us to start changing the 37 door knobs.

Recently my home has become a mostly 'empty nest' and after so many years of living with all of my guys, it sometimes freaks me out to be here by myself all the time. New secure locks would go a LONG way in making me feel more secure, FOR SURE!!! I know Schlage is a quality product, too. My favorite from the Schlage page was the Camelot – such a classic style, and it would be beautiful in the brass!!! http://www.schlage.com/en/home/products/F60CAMFFFACC.html?bck=@@sch-us:brand/schlage@@sch-us:finishes/satinbrass#

We are building a house and the handles it's coming with aren't that great and replacing them with these locks would make the space flow and be cohesive and look amazing!!
